I believe, TAACF is providing a great service to mankind by way of screening millions of compounds (synthesized in several research labs across the globe) for TB and related diseases. I wish the organization a great success in all its efforts for the welfare of mankind!!!

In spite of the strides made in the science of drug discovery, the limitations being evident; there can not be a more rational approach than what you are doing now. When it comes to picking a needle from the haystack, this is the best approach.  Excellent work.  Good luck.

The Facility is to be commended and encouraged for undertaking the posting (as a future link) of "The Bacteriostatic Activity of 3500 Organic Compounds for Mycobacterium Tuberculosis var. Hominis" by Guy P. Youmans, Leonard Doub and Anne S. Youmans. This is a meritorious project. The data in this report serve the tuberculosis research community in at least two significant ways: 1) by providing information on potential lead compounds and 2) by serving as a check to unnecessary duplication of effort. For some researchers, access to the report is limited; so providing the report on the TAACF web site could stimulate research.

NIAID is doing a great job by extending facilities to researchers who can not carry out research due to lack facilities. I hope this gesture of NIAID will help in finding a solution to problems created by tuberculosis.
